Lambda has both full-time consultant employees and sub-contracted associates. This means that it can respond quickly to demands for resources and a wide range of skills. Overall, Lambda has access to over 100 consultants either as direct employees or as associates, all subscribing to the same principles of professionalism, value for money and innovation in approach.

Lambda was formed in 1995, and has been steadily increasing in turnover and workload since then. As its reputation has spread, the size of its contracts has increased. The largest now include a programme management role for a unitary local authority in England (contract value £150,000), evaluation study for a government department in Scotland (contract value over £70,000), development of a mental health information system (contract value over £70,000), IT outsourcing management for an English local authority (contract value over £50,000). At the other end of the scale, we are pleased to be able to assist local voluntary groups on a no-cost or much reduced fee basis, as our contribution to the community.

Lambda's charge-out rates vary according to the type and size of project, and the skill requirements. For work commissioned through Socitm Consulting, our hourly rates are between £87.50 and  £100 per hour; for other work the rates can vary from £40 an hour upwards depending on the level and seniority of consultant.
