A strategy for mental health in Northamptonshire

A study to examine how mental health care provision is managed and supported in Northamptonshire Health Authority area, leading to a strategy for information management. The project was prompted by the Wayne Licorish Enquiry, which identified a lack of seamless access to information on individual mental health cases in the area. The study involved interviews with over 60 practitioners and support workers in mental health care in the health trusts and health authority in Northamptionshire, as well as with Social Services. Arising from the reserarch, a number of key issues were identified, which were then made the subject of a series of workshops to explore the issues further and examine possible approaches to dealing with them.
