Fife Connects
A project to develop a shared business information resource to meet the needs of the business support agencies in Fife as well as the Fife business community. The project involved interviews with all relevant business support organisations in Fife, business professional advisers, and the business community, and led to the development of a Fife-wide website for business information. Funded partly by the European Commission, the project funded the provision of an IT adviser in Fife, to work with local businesses in developing their effective use of IT for business benefit.
The Fife Connects website attracted political acclaim for its approach, and the depth of its business information content, and has since been developed further through subsequent European and private
