E-government - South Lanarkshire Council A consultancy project to develop and implement the network of public access information points to
support e-government in South Lanarkshire. Lambda developed and implemented the fully interactive and transactional intranet to support the information access points, coupled with videotelephony systems to provide face to face communication
between the public and Council officials. The technology used had been developed by Lambda for its earlier implementation of e-government in the Highlands of Scotland - the first implementation of e-government in the UK. Lambda has now
developed the intranet technology further to a point where it is now available as a series of software modules to provide the equivalent of an "instant e-government" infrastructure. Contract value: £25,000
