Evaluation of the "Know the Score" drugs campaign in Scotland, 2002
A project to evaluate the effectiveness of the Know the Score drugs
campaign, which ran in Scotland from May to September 2001. The campaign targeted young people in particular, and involved multiple agencies in each of the eight police force area. Overall, the research concluded that the campaign had
significant impacts on the numbers of arrests and charges for drugs-related offences, and also reached out to a very substantial number of young people, their parents and teachers. Much of the learning from the campaign concerned the
inter-working by the different agencies involved in the campaign, which will provide a valuable learning experience for future joint working.
